The Business Analyst Implementation Specialist will play a critical role in building and institutionalizing best-in-class business analysis practices. As a new role for the organization, this individual will be responsible for introducing, designing, and implementing business analysis and formalized project management frameworks, methodologies, and processes to improve organizational performance and ensure successful project outcomes.
As a key member of the Transformation Office, the Business Analyst will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, identify opportunities, and drive strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is well organized, an analytical thinker, a natural collaborator, and an experienced change agent with a proven track record of establishing business analysis processes in dynamic environments.
As a Business Analyst Implementation Specialist, you will:
Process Development and Implementation:
• Design, implement, and standardize business analysis frameworks, tools, and processes that align with industry best practices and department needs.
• Introduce templates, workflows, and guidelines for gathering, analyzing, and validating business requirements.
• Train and mentor team members in the adoption of new business analysis processes, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
• Create opportunities for feedback from the lines of business to continuously assess and improve BA processes to drive efficiency and align with evolving business priorities.
Business Requirements Management:
• Elicit, document, and validate business requirements using various techniques (e.g., workshops, interviews, focus groups, and observations).
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and define the scope of projects and initiatives.
• Ensure traceability of requirements from initiation through to delivery and implementation.
• Work with technical teams to document potential solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and requirements.
• Document current-state processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration, clarity, and trust
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification (e.g., PMI-PBA, IIBA certifications) are preferred.
• Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Agilist) are a plus.
• 3+ years of business analysis experience, including 2+ years of experience introducing and implementing BA processes in an organization.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable results through process design and improvement.
• Hands-on experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
• Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Visio, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project or similar).
• Deep knowledge of business analysis methodologies, including process modeling, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder management.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and propose practical solutions.
