Running a successful Raffle is a team effort at each school. The roles below are intended as a minimum expectation of activity between partner schools and Catholic United Financial staff. If you have questions, please contact Gabby at 800-568-6670 or email gbarton@catholicunited.org.
• One raffle coordinator per school
• Manage the ticket distribution
• Track sold, unsold and lost ticket numbers
• Coordinate the ticket stubs and money that are returned
• Match dollars collected with ticket stub amount
• Return all unused tickets to the Catholic United Financial via the pre-approved delivery service (DO NOT USE U.S. MAIL) or the local Member Advisor
• Report lost ticket numbers to Catholic United Financial
Supervise final receipt of all money
• Encourage students to sell tickets and earn rewards
• Keep track of tickets and money the students are responsible for
• Make sure all unused tickets get returned to the raffle coordinator
• Plan and conduct a meeting to introduce Catholic United Financial and explain benefits of the Raffle
• Liaison between Catholic United Financial and the community
• Communicate with the raffle coordinators
• Supply flyers, posters, and tickets
• Execute prize ceremony on the appointed day
• Notify winners with contact information provided on ticket stub
Catholic United provides its Parish Volunteer Teams with seed money to help them kick start their activities for the year based on the previous activity and membership rolls, averaging at $1,100 per year.
Supplement your parish/school events that are service, faith or socially focused with grants up to $500 each, or $1,500 total.
This program provides a match of up to $1,000 when your Parish Volunteer Team hosts a fundraiser in support of a school or R.E. program.
The Catholic Schools Raffle is an annual fundraiser that helps schools in MN, SD and ND raise tens of millions of dollars. Schools average $12,000 raised through this program.
The Catholic United Financial Foundation offers parishes, schools and dioceses grants up to $1,000 to offset costs of curriculum, programs and events that promote chastity and abstinence.
The Catholic United Financial Foundation offers parishes and schools grants up to $500 to pay for technology that will be used for education.
MinisTREE is a volunteer reward program that pays a parish when volunteers complete assigned tasks. Earn $5 per task, up to $500 annually.
