Members of Catholic United Financial can enjoy a theater performance and support Catholic artists this summer. Catholic United Financial is offering discounted tickets for performances of “The Matchmaker”, showing June 19-28, presented by Missed the Boat Theatre.
Missed the Boat Theatre is a non-profit theatre company in St. Paul, MN with a mission to foster vibrant, Catholic community by producing quality, artistic creations on the stage. The summer mainstage production is “The Matchmaker” by Thornton Wilder (author of “Our Town”).
In this show for all ages, matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi heads into town with wealthy merchant Horace Vandergelder to help him find a new wife. His clerks and niece seize the opportunity to pursue their own adventures behind his back, leading to unexpected encounters, mistaken identities, and the reminder that even the biggest city is smaller than you might think. You’ll be swept away to 1880s New York with these delightful characters on a journey of self discovery, and might even learn something about yourself amidst all the laughs!
The show runs the weekends of June 19-22 and June 26-28 at the Helene Houle Auditorium at St. Agnes School in St. Paul, MN (map link). Tickets are $20-$35, available at missedtheboattheatre.com/matchmaker. At checkout, members can enter the code CUFMembers to receive a discount of $10 per ticket.
